IDF Eliminates Two Hamas Naval Unit Commanders in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of two Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip. The IDF stated that one of the operatives, Mohammed Jamal Ahmed Eid, served as a commander in Hamas's Nukhba unit and led its naval forces. According to the IDF, Eid infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th attack. He was eliminated in the Al-Bureij area of Gaza City.
In a separate operation in Gaza City, Salah Ziad Ibrahim Mikdad, a company commander in the naval wing of Hamas's military wing, was also eliminated. The IDF reported that both operatives had recently continued to engage in terrorist activities and were involved in enhancing the operational capabilities of Hamas units.
The IDF did not specify the exact timing of these operations.
