IDF Eliminates Two Hamas Commanders in Gaza Strikes
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Monday the elimination of two Hamas operatives in separate strikes in the Gaza Strip. In Khan Younis, Rafat Abu Zamer, a company commander in Hamas's military wing's operations staff, was killed. The IDF stated that Abu Zamer had promoted and led training for militants in preparation for the October 7th attacks and continued to train and develop the organization's combat capabilities. In a separate strike in Gaza City, the IDF eliminated Muhammad Khader Fahmi Agour, an operative in Hamas's military wing involved in weapons manufacturing.
The IDF stated that both operatives were advancing terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, working to restore the organization's capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire. The strikes were carried out to neutralize the threat they posed. According to the IDF, measures were taken to minimize civilian harm during the operations, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
