IDF Eliminates Hamas Commanders Involved in October 7th Training
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of two Hamas military wing operatives in separate strikes in Khan Younis and Gaza City on Monday. According to the IDF spokesperson, both individuals were actively advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians and were working to restore the organization's capabilities.
One of the eliminated operatives was Rafat Abu Zamer, a company commander in Hamas's operations headquarters. The IDF stated that Abu Zamer trained terrorists in preparation for the October 7th massacre and continued to train operatives and develop the group's combat abilities recently. He was targeted in Khan Younis.
The second operative, Muhammad Khader Fahmi Agour, was killed in Gaza City. He was involved in the production of weapons for Hamas. The IDF spokesperson noted that both Abu Zamer and Agour were systematically violating the ceasefire and were eliminated to neutralize the immediate threat they posed.
Precautions were taken to minimize civilian harm during the strikes, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area and will continue to operate to remove immediate threats.
