IDF Eliminates Hamas Khan Yunis Brigade Commander in Targeted Strike
The Israeli military and Shin Bet announced on Tuesday that they targeted and eliminated a senior Hamas terrorist, identified as the commander of the organization's Rafah Brigade, in an airstrike in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Sources in Gaza reported that the strike resulted in two fatalities and 14 injuries. Israeli defense officials are increasingly confident that the targeted individual was indeed killed in the operation.
The Rafah Brigade is a significant formation within Hamas's military wing, responsible for operations in the southern Gaza city of Rafah and along the border with Egypt. Its elimination is considered a substantial blow to Hamas's command and control capabilities in the region.
