IDF Eliminates Hamas Nukhba Commanders Involved in October 7th Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday the elimination of two Hamas Nukhba commanders who participated in the October 7th massacre and were involved in planning future attacks. The first, identified as Mohammed Jamal Ahmed Eid, a Nukhba commander in Hamas's military wing, was killed in an airstrike in the Al-Bureij area. He had infiltrated Israeli territory during the Simchat Torah massacre.
The second operative, Saleh Ziad Ibrahim Makdad, a squad commander in the naval forces of Hamas's military wing, was eliminated in a separate strike by the IDF in the Gaza City area the previous day. According to the IDF spokesperson, both individuals had recently been working to advance terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, while also focusing on improving the operational readiness and capabilities of Hamas operatives.
The IDF stated that their activities were conducted in systematic violation of the ceasefire, and the strikes were carried out to neutralize the threat they posed. The military also emphasized that measures were taken to minimize civilian harm prior to the strikes, including the use of precision munitions and aerial intelligence gathering.
