IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Multiple Hamas Terror Commanders Behind October 7 Attacks

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), guided by Shin Bet intelligence, conducted targeted strikes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing several senior Hamas militants involved in the October 7 attacks and ongoing hostilities. In the Deir al-Balah area, the IDF eliminated Abdullah Adnan Taha Abu Altaif, commander of the Nukhba unit in Hamas’s military wing, who had infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and actively fought against Israeli forces throughout the conflict.

Another strike in the Shati refugee camp killed Jalal Zubaih, commander of the Daraj Tafah battalion in Hamas’s military wing, who had recently attempted to orchestrate terror attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. Earlier reports confirmed the killing of Mahmoud Fatair, commander of the Nukhba unit in the Central Camps Brigade, who also participated in the October 7 incursion and was involved in holding Israeli captive Rom Breslavski and in hostage transfer ceremonies.

Additional recent operations included the elimination of Alaa Emad Hamis Tramsi from the Islamic Jihad terror group and Hassan Ibrahim Shahda Kahman. Last week, the IDF killed Ahmad Hadari, a militant from Hamas’s Jabaliya battalion, who was also planning attacks against Israeli targets. On Saturday, Salem Gamal Abd al-Rahman Abu Labad, head of a Nukhba cell that attacked Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, was also killed. These targeted killings aim to neutralize ongoing threats to Israeli security posed by Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives.
