IDF Eliminates 3 Hamas Terrorists in Gaza, Including Oct. 7 Participants
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced Saturday the elimination of three Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip over the weekend. Among those killed were Yahya Hamdouna and Muhammad Rafa'i, both of whom participated in the October 7th massacre in southern Israel. Hamdouna was a terrorist in Hamas's military wing, while Rafa'i was part of the Daraj Tuffah battalion.
Also eliminated was Basir Al-Barsh, a commander in Hamas's Nukhba force, the elite commando unit. The IDF stated that these terrorists had been advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians and were working to restore Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire.
The strikes were carried out to neutralize the immediate threat posed by the operatives. The IDF emphasized that measures were taken prior to the strikes to minimize civilian casualties, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
Security forces remain deployed in the area and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats, according to the IDF.
