Israel Military Says It Eliminated Hamas Nukhba Operatives Involved in Oct. 7 Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday the elimination of two Hamas operatives, including one identified as having participated in the October 7th massacre. Sharif Shadi Ibrahim Labad, a member of Hamas's elite Nukhba force, was killed in a strike in northern Gaza on Tuesday. The IDF stated that Labad was involved in the assault on the Erez border crossing during the October 7th attacks.
In a separate strike on Monday, also in northern Gaza, the IDF reported killing Youssef Saad al-Din Rachid Zaim, described as a Nukhba commander. The military claims both individuals were recently planning attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and were working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities despite a ceasefire.
The IDF stated that measures were taken to minimize civilian risk during the operations, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
