IDF and Shin Bet Kill Two Hamas Nukhba Operatives Linked to October 7 Raids

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced on Thursday that they eliminated two Hamas Nukhba operatives involved in the October 7 massacre at the Re'im military base. One of those killed, Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shakhma, served as the personal bodyguard to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The first strike took place on Sunday in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza, where Hazem Musa, another Nukhba operative who participated in the Re'im attack, was killed.

A second strike occurred on Monday in the same region, resulting in the death of Abu Shakhma. According to the IDF and Shin Bet, both militants remained active recently, promoting terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians and attempting to rebuild Hamas’s military capabilities despite a ceasefire. The security forces stated these targeted killings aimed to neutralize the immediate threat posed by these operatives.

Alongside the announcement, the IDF released imagery showing the two militants inside Israel during the October 7 attack and footage of the strikes that killed them. The IDF spokesperson emphasized that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire agreement and will continue operations to eliminate any immediate threats. These actions are part of ongoing Israeli efforts to dismantle Hamas terror infrastructure linked to the October 7 attacks and prevent the restoration of their operational capabilities.
