The IDF and Shin Bet said on Wednesday that they killed two militants in Gaza who were tied to the October 7 attacks and to attacks on Israeli forces and civilians. The strikes took place in southern Gaza and central Gaza.
One of those killed was Muhammad Saeed Ahmad Nimroti, identified by the military as a Hamas platoon commander. The IDF said he took part in the October 7 massacre and in holding many hostages captive.
In a separate precision strike in the center of the Strip, the army killed Muawiya Sulayman Saqr Aidi, a platoon commander in Palestinian Islamic Jihad. According to the IDF, he participated in the raid on Kibbutz Be'eri and also helped plant explosive devices.
The military said both men had promoted terror plots against IDF troops and Israeli civilians throughout the war, including recently. It added that they were killed after posing an immediate threat to forces operating in Gaza. The IDF also said Southern Command troops remain deployed in line with the agreement and will continue acting to remove any immediate threat.
