Israeli forces said they killed two militants in the Gaza Strip over the weekend, both of whom were involved in the October 7 assault on Kibbutz Be’eri. One of those killed was Muhammad Saeed Ahmed Namroti, a Hamas platoon commander in southern Gaza who took part in holding many hostages in Hamas tunnel captivity during the war.
In a separate strike in central Gaza, forces killed Muawiya Suleiman Saqr Aidi, a platoon commander in the central camps area of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. According to the military, Aidi participated in the attack on Be’eri during the October 7 massacre.
The military said that during the war and in recent period, both men advanced terrorist plans against Israeli forces and civilians. Aidi was also involved in planting explosive devices.
The two were killed in precise strikes after being identified as an immediate threat to IDF troops operating in Gaza. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in line with the agreement and will continue acting to remove any immediate threat.
