The IDF said it killed Muhammad Saeed Ahmed Namruti, a Hamas squad commander, in southern Gaza over the weekend. According to the military, Namruti crossed into Israel on October 7 and took part in holding hostages captive during the attack.
In a separate strike in central Gaza, the IDF killed Muawiya Suleiman Daker Aidi, a squad commander in the Islamic Jihad's Central Camps units. The military said Aidi took part in the October 7 massacre and raided Kibbutz Be'eri.
The statement identified both men as field commanders involved in the assault on Israel, but did not give additional details about the operations that killed them.
