The IDF said it killed two Hamas operatives on Tuesday in central Gaza, Ahmed Abu Hein, who headed a sniper cell in Hamas’s military wing, and another militant, Mahmoud Walid Gabr Abu Hein. The army said both took part in the Oct. 7 attack in the Gaza border communities and had been working to rebuild Hamas in violation of the ceasefire agreement, while advancing terror plots against Israeli forces and the State of Israel.
Earlier, the IDF reported killing Muhammad Said Ahmed Nimruti, a Hamas platoon commander, in a strike in southern Gaza. According to the military, Nimruti entered Israeli territory during the Oct. 7 massacre and participated directly in the killings and kidnappings. Throughout the war, he was also involved in holding many hostages in Hamas tunnel captivity in Gaza.
In a separate strike in central Gaza, the IDF killed Muawiya Suleiman Saqr Aidi, a platoon commander in the Central Camps brigade of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The military said Aidi participated in the attack on Kibbutz Be’eri during the Oct. 7 assault and was active in terror operations in the area.
The IDF said both Nimruti and Aidi had consistently advanced terror plans against Israeli troops and civilians during the fighting and in recent periods. It added that Aidi helped plant explosive devices against soldiers, and that the two were killed in precise strikes after posing an immediate threat to forces operating in the Gaza Strip.
