IDF and Shin Bet kill Hamas Nukhba commander involved in Oct. 7 kidnapping
The IDF and Shin Bet said they killed Zaki Yusef Mahmoud Abu Mustafa in southern Gaza over the weekend. Abu Mustafa was a Nukhba commander in Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade and took part in the abduction of Yagil Yaakov from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7.
According to the military, Abu Mustafa posed an immediate threat to Israeli forces operating in the area and was killed in a targeted strike.
In a separate strike, Israeli forces also killed Mohammed Osama Abd al-Aziz Saba al-Aish, described as a Nukhba militant who worked to promote training and recruit additional Hamas operatives.
