The IDF and Shin Bet said Monday that they killed Sabai Zehir Abd al-Hamid Abu Hasna in northern Gaza over the weekend. They described him as a Nukhba operative in Hamas’s military wing who was involved in holding Omer Shem Tov captive.
According to the announcement, Abu Hasna spent much of the war planting explosives and, in recent days, tried to advance terror attacks aimed at Israeli forces operating in the area. The IDF also said he took part in the October 7 attack inside Israel and in Shem Tov’s captivity.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza, three armed Hamas fighters were killed after trying to move forward terror plans against IDF troops. The military said Southern Command forces are deployed in the area in line with the agreement and will continue working to remove any threat.
