The IDF and Shin Bet said they struck northern Gaza over the weekend, on Saturday, killing Sabaei Zahir Abd al-Hamid Abu Hasna, a Nukhba operative in Hamas’s military wing. According to the military, Abu Hasna spent the war planting explosives and recently tried to advance terror attacks against IDF troops operating in the area.
The statement said Abu Hasna took part in the October 7 assault on Israel and was involved in holding Omer Shem Tov captive in Hamas custody. The article also notes that Israeli forces killed three additional armed Hamas operatives in a separate strike in northern Gaza after they attempted to advance attacks against IDF soldiers.
Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in line with the agreement, and the IDF said it will continue working to remove any threat.
