Israeli forces struck northern Gaza over the weekend and killed Sabai Zehir Abd al-Hamid Abu Hasna, a Nukhba operative in Hamas’s military wing, the Israeli military said. Abu Hasna was identified as one of the men who held Omer Shem Tov captive during Hamas’s imprisonment of hostages in Gaza.
According to the report, Abu Hasna had spent the war placing explosive devices and recently tried to advance terror attacks against Israeli forces operating in the area. He also took part in the October 7 assault on Israel, when he crossed into Israeli territory during the massacre.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza, three armed Hamas militants were also killed after trying to promote terror plots against IDF troops. The article did not provide further details on the timing of that second strike beyond saying it happened in the same area.
