Netanyahu's Office Denies Receiving UAE Warning Before Oct. 7 Attack

Al-Shams
Translated & summarized from Al-Shams by baba
The story · English

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday denied reports claiming he received a warning from UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan prior to the October 7th Hamas attacks. A statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, in English asserted, "The media reports are false. The Prime Minister did not receive any warning from the UAE before October 7th." The Prime Minister's office added that if any relevant information had existed, it would have been conveyed through established intelligence channels between the two countries.

The denial comes as Netanyahu's Likud party submitted its list of candidates for the upcoming Knesset elections to the Central Elections Committee. Netanyahu heads the Likud list, the ruling party in Israel, amidst ongoing political competition and preparations by various parties for the next Israeli elections.
