UAE President Warned Netanyahu of Impending Hamas Attack, Report Claims

A report published by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz alleges that the President of the United Arab Emirates directly warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of an imminent, large-scale attack by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar just a week and a half before the October 7th massacre. According to the report, the UAE President initiated a direct conversation with Netanyahu, explicitly stating that the situation on the Gaza border was on the verge of explosion and that Sinwar was planning a major offensive.

Political and security commentators reacted strongly to the Haaretz report. Analyst Yaron Avraham described the publication as an "earthquake" and sharply criticized the Prime Minister's alleged inaction. "The ruler of the Emirates calls Netanyahu and warns him that everything is about to explode and that Sinwar is about to launch a major attack. What does Netanyahu do? He keeps the information to himself and does nothing with it," Avraham stated.

The Haaretz article claims that despite this serious and direct warning from the Arab leader, Netanyahu did not share the critical intelligence with security officials or the relevant government bodies, nor did he take any action based on the information received.

However, the Prime Minister's Office has vehemently denied the report. A spokesperson issued a sweeping rejection of all allegations made in the Haaretz article, stating that the claims are baseless.
