Former PM Bennett Confirms UAE Warned Netanyahu of Hamas Attack Plans
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has confirmed a Haaretz report stating that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed personally warned then-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about Hamas's intentions 10 days before the October 7th attack. Bennett asserted on X that the report is accurate, adding that Netanyahu bears "personal and direct responsibility for the failure that led to the deaths of thousands of Israelis during his tenure."
Bennett did not specify the basis for his confirmation of the report's veracity. He further accused Netanyahu of ignoring warnings and actively preventing the establishment of a state inquiry commission. According to Bennett, Netanyahu failed to visit the attack sites, did not alert security chiefs, did not prepare the country for the assault, and did not convene the cabinet.
The former prime minister also criticized the government for providing Hamas with funds and permits, which he believes were intended to de-escalate tensions in Gaza.
