Intelligence Source Claims UAE Warned Israel of Hamas Attack Before Oct. 7

A high-level Middle Eastern intelligence source has asserted that the United Arab Emirates conveyed a significant intelligence warning to Israel prior to the October 7th Hamas attacks. The warning, reportedly from a "very reliable" source, indicated that Hamas was preparing for a major and imminent operation.

According to Hebrew media reports, Abu Dhabi officials treated the information with extreme seriousness, estimating the operation could occur "very soon," though no specific date was provided. The intelligence source declined to offer further details on the information or its transmission to Israel, and did not confirm if UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed directly discussed the warning with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The source highlighted the extreme secrecy surrounding communications between the UAE and Israeli leadership, stating that phones used for these calls were destroyed after each conversation to maintain the confidentiality of the channels.

In contrast, Netanyahu's office has denied receiving any warning from the UAE before October 7th, labeling the reports as "false." They added that if any relevant information existed, it would have been passed through established intelligence channels between the two countries.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on reports or speculation regarding leadership discussions but confirmed the existence of direct and open communication channels between UAE and Israeli government entities, through which relevant intelligence is shared when necessary.
