Herzog Denies Receiving UAE President's Warning Before October 7

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has issued a strong denial regarding a report by the newspaper Haaretz, which suggested he had received a warning from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the months leading up to the October 7th Hamas attacks. Responding to reporters' questions, Herzog's office stated that the discussions between the two leaders prior to October 7th did not concern security matters, Hamas, or Yahya Sinwar. Instead, the conversations focused on social and internal Israeli affairs, as well as bilateral relations between the countries.

The President's office emphasized that Herzog was unaware of any such alleged warning and had no knowledge of its existence. The Haaretz report had implied that Herzog might have been informed of potential threats by the UAE president, a detail that has now been directly refuted by the Israeli President's residence.
