UAE: Open Channels With Israel, Denies Warning Netanyahu Before Oct. 7
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has categorically denied receiving any prior warning or alert from the United Arab Emirates before the October 7th events. This denial came concurrently with a statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responding to media reports.
The UAE ministry stated that the government does not comment on press speculation or narratives concerning government-to-government discussions. It emphasized that Abu Dhabi's efforts since October 7th have consistently focused on de-escalation, regional stability, and preventing violence.
The ministry further indicated that direct and open communication channels between UAE and Israeli officials have been maintained since the normalization of relations over five years ago. It affirmed that relevant intelligence information has been, and continues to be, shared between the concerned parties when necessary.
