National Security Minister Ben-Gvir Dismisses Report of UAE Warning to Netanyahu

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has strongly refuted a report claiming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a prior warning from the ruler of the United Arab Emirates about an impending attack by Hamas just days before the October 7th massacre. Speaking on Tuesday to 103FM radio, Ben-Gvir dismissed the report, published by the newspaper 'Haaretz,' as "excuses from elements in the security establishment to explain why they didn't wake him up."

The report alleged that the UAE president initiated a direct conversation with Netanyahu, warning him that Yahya Sinwar was planning a large-scale attack and that the situation was on the verge of explosion. While opposition figures have sharply criticized the Prime Minister's conduct following the publication, Ben-Gvir aligned himself with the denial issued by Netanyahu's office, instead pointing the finger back at security officials.

Ben-Gvir's comments come amid ongoing controversy surrounding the events leading up to the October 7th attacks. The Prime Minister's office has maintained its position, with Ben-Gvir echoing this stance by suggesting the security apparatus failed to act on intelligence and is now seeking to shift blame.
