Ben Gurion Airport Parking Lots Reopen After Unusual Capacity Issues
Public parking lots at Ben Gurion Airport have reopened on Monday morning after being completely full due to an "unusual load" of travelers during the Sukkot holiday period. The Israel Airports Authority announced that spaces have become available and passengers can once again arrive at the airport by private vehicle, subject to availability.
On Sunday, the authority had issued an exceptional notice stating that all parking facilities were full until further notice. This was attributed to the high volume of passengers traveling during the High Holidays. Travelers and those accompanying them were urged to avoid arriving by private car and to use public transportation instead.
The authority wished travelers a happy Sukkot holiday.
