Ben Gurion Airport Parking Full Amid Holiday Travel Surge
Parking lots at Ben Gurion Airport are completely full due to a significant increase in passenger volume during the High Holidays, the Airports Authority announced Sunday. The authority has requested that travelers and those accompanying them avoid arriving at the airport in private vehicles and instead use public transportation until further notice.
"We are asking the public of travelers and escorts to refrain from arriving at Ben Gurion Airport by private vehicle and to reach the airport using public transportation," a spokesperson for the Airports Authority stated. The authority apologized for the inconvenience and asked for public understanding.
An update on the parking situation will be provided once capacity becomes available. The surge in travelers is typical for the High Holiday period, which includes Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
