"As of this morning, parking is available at Ben Gurion Airport lots after spaces have cleared," stated the Airports Authority, wishing travelers a "Happy Sukkot holiday." The previous day's announcement had declared the airport's parking lots at full capacity until further notice.
The severe parking shortage was attributed to a significant increase in passenger volume during the High Holidays, particularly Sukkot. In response to the overcrowding, the authority had requested that passengers and those dropping them off refrain from using private cars, recommending public transportation instead.
