The Israel Airports Authority announced Monday morning that parking facilities at Ben Gurion Airport have reopened and the public can once again travel to the airport by private car. This update follows an unusual announcement made the previous day, urging travelers and those dropping them off to use public transportation due to a complete lack of available parking.
The congestion was attributed to a significant increase in passenger volume during the Sukkot holiday period. The Airports Authority had stated that parking lots were at full capacity until further notice, leading to the request to avoid private vehicles.
"Starting this morning, parking is available at Ben Gurion Airport parking lots, as parking spaces have become available," the authority said. "Happy Sukkot!"
