Israeli Man Dies From West Bank Shooting Attack; Second Terror Attempt Foiled
A 30-year-old man, critically injured in a shooting attack near the Ein Raya spring in the West Bank, has died from his wounds at Beilinson Hospital. The attack occurred near the settlement of Neve Tzuf (Halamish) in the Benjamin region. Israeli forces are currently searching for the armed assailant who fled the scene after opening fire from a vehicle and wounding several Israelis. The Israeli military has increased its presence in Judea and Samaria, with forces surrounding the villages of Nabi Saleh, Deir Nizam, and Umm Safa, located near the site of the shooting.
In a separate incident in northern Samaria, near the settlement of Ganim, a Palestinian driver attempted to ram soldiers at a checkpoint with his car. The soldiers returned fire, killing the driver. A second suspect was apprehended at the scene. The head of the IDF's General Staff, Eyal Zamir, ordered the reinforcement of military presence in the West Bank following these events.
