A terror attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region on Sunday morning resulted in the death of Natanel Shkaron, a father of six from the settlement of Ali Zahav. Shkaron, in his 40s, had gone to a natural spring with his eldest son to immerse himself in preparation for Yom Kippur. A terrorist, driving a vehicle that passed the spring, opened fire on those present.

Shkaron was critically injured and evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where he was pronounced dead. The gunman abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Following an extensive manhunt involving the IDF's Duvdevan Unit, security forces tracked and apprehended the suspect in a hospital in Ramallah. During the pursuit, an IDF tracker identified the terrorist and opened fire, reportedly wounding him. Duvdevan forces later raided the hospital to arrest the injured suspect.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, stating that "no terrorist is immune" and that "we will settle accounts with all of them." He ordered the IDF and Shin Bet to increase operations, impose closures, conduct offensive activities, make arrests, and immediately demolish the terrorist's home. The IDF Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi, visited the scene and ordered the sealing and demolition of the terrorist's home, as well as continued efforts to apprehend any accomplices. He emphasized that the mission to combat terrorism is ongoing.

Separately, about an hour after the Benjamin attack, soldiers in the northern Samaria region neutralized a terrorist who attempted to carry out a vehicular ramming attack. No soldiers were harmed in that incident. President Isaac Herzog also commented, calling the attack "murderous" and asserting that "terror will not break us."
