Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir condemned Katz's actions, warning that such politicization undermines security. It is suggested that Major General Bar Kalifa should reject any appointment under these conditions to avoid tarnishing his reputation, regardless of Katz's political future or the upcoming primaries.
