Israel Eliminates Hamas Operatives Involved in October 7 Attacks
The Israeli military and the Shin Bet security agency have eliminated Yahya Hamdoun, a Hamas militant directly involved in the October 7th attacks on Israeli territory. The strike was carried out by army aviation.
During operations over the past weekend, Israeli forces also killed two other Hamas operatives. These included Muhammad Rafa'i of the Daraj Tuffah battalion, who also participated in the October 7th events, and Basir Al-Barsh, a commander in the elite Nukhba unit. According to the military, these operatives were planning further attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and were working to restore the terrorist organization's capabilities, which constitutes a violation of the ceasefire.
The operations were conducted to neutralize an immediate threat to national security. The Israeli military stated that measures were taken to minimize civilian risk, including the use of precision munitions and continuous aerial surveillance.
