IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Involved in October 7th Massacre
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday the elimination of a Hamas commander, Muhammad Suleiman Bayuk, who participated in the October 7th attacks on Israel. The strike occurred in the Khan Yunis area.
Bayuk, described as a commander in Hamas's military wing, infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th massacre. During the ongoing war, and particularly in recent times, he was involved in planting explosive devices across the Gaza Strip intended to harm Israeli forces.
According to the IDF, Bayuk also advanced terror plans against Israeli soldiers and civilians, worked to improve the operational readiness of Hamas operatives, and aimed to restore the organization's capabilities, all while systematically violating the ceasefire. His elimination was carried out to neutralize the threat he posed.
IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats.
