IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Involved in October 7 Massacre
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Saturday evening that it had eliminated a Hamas military wing commander, Muhammad Suleiman Bayuk, in an airstrike in the Khan Yunis area on Thursday. According to the IDF, Bayuk participated in the October 7th massacre and infiltration into Israeli territory. During the ongoing war, and particularly recently, Bayuk was involved in planting explosive devices against IDF forces throughout the Gaza Strip. The IDF stated that Bayuk also advanced terror plans against Israeli soldiers and civilians and worked to improve the operational capabilities of Hamas operatives and restore the organization's abilities.
In a separate announcement, the IDF and Shin Bet security agency reported that the commander of Hamas's Rafah brigade, Na'el Abu Abid, who was killed in Gaza on Tuesday, was involved in the abduction and holding of hostages, including Hadar Goldin and Nimrod Cohen.
