IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Involved in October 7th Incursion

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday the precise airstrike elimination of Hamas military wing commander Muhammad Suleiman Bayuk in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip. According to the IDF, Bayuk participated in the October 7th Hamas-led attack on Israel.

During the ongoing conflict, Bayuk was reportedly active in planting explosive devices across Gaza to target IDF forces. He also advanced terror plans against Israeli soldiers and civilians and worked to restore Hamas's capabilities and improve the proficiency of its operatives, systematically violating the ceasefire. The IDF stated the strike was conducted to neutralize the threat he posed.

This operation is part of a series of recent IDF actions in Gaza. Last week, the IDF eliminated Jihad Ismail, head of a Nukhba commando cell involved in the abduction of tank crew members and the killing of Sergeant Shaked Dahan. He too was reportedly planning terror attacks and violating the ceasefire.

Additionally, Rafat Abu Zamer, a company commander in Hamas's operations directorate, and Muhammad Agur, involved in weapons manufacturing, were killed in recent days. Both were reportedly advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians while systematically violating the ceasefire.
