IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Involved in October 7th Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Saturday evening that it had targeted and eliminated a Hamas military wing commander, Muhammad Suleiman Bayuk, in the Khan Yunis area two days prior. Bayuk had participated in the October 7th invasion of Israel and was involved in planting explosive devices across the Gaza Strip aimed at harming Israeli forces during the ongoing conflict. He was also reportedly advancing terror plans against Israeli soldiers and civilians, working to improve the capabilities of Hamas operatives and restore the organization's infrastructure, all while systematically violating the ceasefire.
The IDF stated the elimination was carried out to neutralize the threat Bayuk posed. He was described as having worked to enhance the operational readiness of Hamas terrorists and rebuild the group's capacities.
