IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Involved in October 7th Attack in Khan Younis
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday the elimination of Hamas military wing commander Muhammad Suleiman Bayouk in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. According to the IDF spokesperson, Bayouk participated in the October 7th invasion of Israel. During the ongoing conflict, Bayouk was reportedly involved in planting explosive devices across Gaza aimed at harming IDF forces. He also advanced terror plans against Israeli soldiers and civilians and worked to improve the operational capabilities of Hamas operatives, systematically violating the ceasefire.
The IDF stated that Bayouk was eliminated to neutralize the threat he posed. Southern Command forces are operating in the area and will continue to address immediate threats. This strike follows a series of recent IDF operations in Gaza.
Last week, the IDF killed Jihad Ismail, head of a Nukhba commando unit, who participated in the abduction of tank crews and the killing of Sergeant Shaked Dahan. Ismail had continued to plan terror attacks and violate the ceasefire.
Additionally, in recent days, the IDF eliminated Refaat Abu Zamer, a company commander in Hamas's operations directorate, and Muhammad Agur, involved in weapons manufacturing. Both were reportedly advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians while systematically violating the ceasefire.
