Israeli Police Launch Major Traffic Enforcement Campaign Nationwide
The Israeli Police have initiated a large-scale traffic enforcement campaign across the country, extending from the northern to the southern regions, encompassing both urban and intercity roads. The operation, which will continue into the night, focuses on serious traffic violations and reckless driving.
Special attention will be given to monitoring new drivers, truck and bus drivers, transport vehicles, and various types of cyclists. Participating units include the National Motorcycle Unit, the National Traffic Police, and the Heavy Vehicles Unit. Enforcement will be visible along Highway 6, with officers equipped to issue digital citations.
To enhance deterrence and reduce dangerous behaviors and accidents, the police will utilize helicopters and drones for violation documentation. They will employ regular and tactical cameras, speed measurement devices, and surveillance cameras. This comprehensive approach aims to improve road safety throughout Israel.
