Police Launch Nationwide Increased Enforcement Operation on Roads
Israel Police announced yesterday that an intensified enforcement operation will take place on roads across the country starting early Wednesday morning and continuing until late at night. Hundreds of police officers and patrol cars will be deployed on intercity highways and within cities, from the north to the south of the country.
The operation will utilize drones, speed cameras, and other enforcement tools. According to the Traffic Division, the focus will be on roads identified as "influential roads" based on mapping by the division's research and development department. The enforcement will target life-threatening traffic violations and "road bullying" offenses.
Particular attention will be given to new drivers, drivers of heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and transport vehicles, and riders of two-wheeled vehicles. The operation aims to improve road safety by increasing police presence and deterring dangerous driving behaviors.
