Israel Police Launch Major Road Safety Crackdown Wednesday
Israel's traffic police will conduct a widespread, intensified enforcement operation across most districts on Wednesday, September 9th. The operation, involving all traffic police units, will focus on identifying and stopping serious traffic violations from early morning until late night. Enhanced traffic control will be implemented on intercity highways and within urban areas nationwide, with particular attention to high-accident zones.
The crackdown will target aggressive and dangerous driving, with special emphasis on novice drivers, heavy vehicle operators, motorcyclists, and other road users. The traffic police command will deploy all its resources, including motorcycle patrols, standard patrol cars, a unit dedicated to heavy transport monitoring (which will operate along Highway 6), and the technical means department responsible for digital violation reports. Police aviation units will use aircraft and surveillance drones to record dangerous driving from the air.
