Israel Police Launch Nationwide Road Safety Operation
On Wednesday, September 9, Israeli police will conduct a large-scale operation focused on enforcing traffic laws across the country. The checks will commence early in the morning and continue until late at night, covering both intercity highways and urban areas. The operation aims to address life-threatening violations and aggressive driving behaviors. Special attention will be given to novice drivers, commercial vehicle operators (trucks, buses, minibuses), and motorcyclists. Hundreds of police officers, patrol cars, and volunteers will participate. A dedicated unit for heavy transport control will be deployed on Highway 6. The police will also utilize their air unit and drones to monitor traffic violations from the air. Enforcement will involve stationary and mobile cameras, laser speed detectors, and A3 system cameras. This initiative is part of a national program to combat road accidents.
