Israeli Traffic Police Intensify Enforcement Against Dangerous Driving During Summer

The National Traffic Police (Yamata Sharon) launched an intensified enforcement campaign targeting life-threatening traffic violations throughout the summer months. The operation aimed to ensure the safety of all drivers and families by reducing dangerous driving incidents on major roads and high-risk areas.

This nationwide effort involved collaboration between various police units, combining on-the-ground presence with advanced digital enforcement technologies. Drivers committing serious traffic offenses were recorded in real time, allowing Yamata Sharon officers to intervene immediately to mitigate risks.

Among the violations recorded, a truck driver operating a vehicle over 10 tons illegally entered an intersection from the left lane, resulting in a 500 shekel fine and four demerit points. Another driver was caught speeding at 146 km/h in a 90 km/h zone, leading to a 30-day license suspension.

The police emphasized their commitment to road safety and encouraged the public to report dangerous behavior. The campaign highlights the ongoing efforts by Israeli traffic authorities to prevent accidents and protect lives through both visible and covert enforcement measures.
