IDF and Shin Bet Capture Hamas Interior Security Chief in Gaza
In a joint operation, Israel's military and the Shin Bet security agency apprehended the head of Hamas's internal security apparatus in Gaza on Tuesday. The operation, led by the Southern Command and the Shin Bet, took place in northern Gaza.
Special forces from the Shin Bet raided a structure in Gaza City, arresting the senior Hamas official who oversees the entire Gaza Strip's internal security. Simultaneously, the Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on military targets in the area to support the ground forces and neutralize threats. No Israeli soldiers were harmed during the operation.
According to reports, the arrested individual had recently been involved in strengthening Hamas's hold in northern Gaza and advancing terror activities against IDF soldiers operating near the border fence. The suspect has been transferred to Israel for further interrogation.
The operation aims to disrupt Hamas's control in the area and thwart its plans to attack Israeli forces and civilians.
