Jerusalem Stabbing Attempt Foiled by Police, Suspect Neutralized

Jerusalem police intervened after a knife-wielding assailant attempted to attack civilians in the city overnight. Separately, the IDF announced it thwarted a planned attack in Jenin. Security forces apprehended a suspect, identified as Imam Hazem, who intelligence indicated was preparing an assault on Israeli soldiers or civilians. The operation followed information about a potential attack being planned. Hazem reportedly belongs to a family with members previously involved in terrorist activities. His father, Fathi Hazem, was killed the previous week after attempting a stabbing attack on Israeli soldiers in Jenin. Following his father's death, Imam Hazem allegedly vowed revenge and planned to attack IDF soldiers or Israeli civilians.
