Jerusalem Terror Attempt Foiled; Assailant Neutralized by Border Police
Border Police officers neutralized a Palestinian man in his 30s who attempted to carry out a stabbing attack near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on Tuesday. The assailant, identified as a resident of East Jerusalem, reportedly approached the security forces and attempted to stab them with a knife.
In response to the immediate threat, the Border Police officers opened fire, killing the attacker at the scene. The Jerusalem District Police Commander, Superintendent Absalom Peled, arrived at the location to assess the situation following the incident.
The Border Police confirmed they were the forces that responded to the attempted attack and neutralized the assailant. The incident occurred on Tuesday and was quickly resolved by the responding officers.
