Jerusalem Border Police Neutralize Knife-Wielding Attacker Near Old City

Israeli border police (MAGAV) neutralized a knife-wielding man who attempted to attack them near the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem's Old City early Friday morning. The incident occurred around 3:45 AM on September 4. Officers opened fire, and the assailant was pronounced dead at the scene. No Israeli security forces or civilians were harmed in the attack. Police stated the attacker was approximately 33 years old and resided in an Arab neighborhood of Jerusalem.
