Attacker Neutralized at Jerusalem's Damascus Gate After Attempted Attack
Early this morning, an attacker approached Israeli security forces at Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City and attempted to carry out an attack. Security forces neutralized the assailant. One person, described as a man around 30 years old, sustained light injuries and was evacuated from the scene to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. United Hatzalah paramedics Ari Weiss and Yosef Haim Ida stated they provided initial medical assistance to the injured man before he was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where his condition was confirmed as light.
The incident occurred at a sensitive junction in Jerusalem, a frequent site of security events. The quick response of the security forces prevented the attacker from causing further harm.
