Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Roi Rabibo Joins Spanish Club Elche
Maccabi Tel Aviv's left-back, Roi Rabibo, has officially signed a four-year contract with the Spanish club Elche, marking his transition to European football as a legionnaire. The 23-year-old player will earn a salary of 600,000 euros per season.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will receive a transfer fee of 2.8 million euros for Rabibo, along with a 20% sell-on clause for any future transfer. To facilitate the deal, Rabibo's family relinquished their 15% stake in the player's contract.
Rabibo played his final match for Maccabi Tel Aviv in their 3-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa at Bloomfield Stadium. He departs the Israeli club after 136 appearances, during which he scored 12 goals and provided 29 assists. During his tenure, Rabibo won two league championships, two domestic cups, and a Super Cup with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Elche, currently struggling in 19th place in the league after two losses and a draw in their opening matches, is looking to bolster its squad. The team was promoted to the top division in the 2024/25 season, finishing 15th.
