Roy Revivo Transfers to Elche for €2.8 Million
Israeli footballer Roy Revivo is set to sign a four-year contract with Spanish club Elche today, becoming the latest Israeli player to join a European league. The 23-year-old defender played his final match for Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday, a 3-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa, as the transfer deal was finalized early Tuesday morning.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will receive a transfer fee of €2.8 million for Revivo. Additionally, the club will retain 20% of any future transfer fee if Revivo is sold by Elche. Revivo himself will earn €600,000 per year during his four-year tenure with the Spanish team.
To facilitate the transfer, Revivo's family agreed to waive their 15% stake in the player's registration rights. This concession was crucial in finalizing the agreement between the clubs.
