Roy Revivo Departs Maccabi Tel Aviv for Spanish Club Elche

After a prolonged contract dispute with Maccabi Tel Aviv management, Roy Revivo has departed for Spain to sign with Elche. The transfer fee agreed upon between the clubs is reportedly 2.5 million euros, with Maccabi Tel Aviv set to receive the full amount. Revivo's final match for Maccabi Tel Aviv was the previous evening against Maccabi Haifa. He has flown to Spain to undergo medical examinations, with the deal expected to be finalized just before the European transfer window closes.

The defender, who agreed to personal terms with the Spanish club last month, is set to earn approximately 550,000 euros per season on a four-year contract. The transfer follows a significant rift between Revivo's family and Maccabi Tel Aviv management over the player's valuation. During the dispute, Revivo's camp removed him from a Europa League qualifying match against CSKA Sofia in protest of the club's demands.

Elche, meanwhile, is still seeking its first win in Spain's La Liga this season. The team has secured one point so far, from a 1-1 draw against Deportivo La Coruña in their opening match. In their most recent game, Elche lost 3-2 to Racing Santander, following an earlier 5-0 defeat to Barcelona.
